The BFC is looking for an experienced Designer Relations & Sales Executive to join the team to maintain and grow our Designer Showrooms sales. The Executive will work across all our key events including London Fashion Week, London Fashion Week Men’s, London Fashion Week Festival and LONDON show ROOMS. You will display strong sales and communications skills, will have strong trend and brand awareness and have experience working on live events. 




  • Responsible for driving forward sales for Designer Showrooms at London Fashion Week, London Fashion Week Men’s, London Fashion Week Festival Shopping Galleries and LONDON show ROOMS
  • Develop and maintain key designer relationships
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Identify and target prospective new clients
  • Successfully curating the placement of designers within the showrooms 
  • Creating succinct reports post-event to aid future decisions and designer selection 
  • Proactively works across teams to ensure the production of efficient sales tools such as sales pack and video
  • Work with the marketing department to ensure event collateral is correctly produced 
  • Account management of designers 


  • Support the Senior Sales Executive
  • Immediately addresses and resolves issues/challenges
  • Pro-actively supports the team
  • Contribute to weekly Senior Management reports and quarterly Board reports

Festival Show Content:

  • Work closely with the Events team, external production company and the wider team to deliver successful events that work for the designers and audience 
  • Responsible for curating the show content for London Fashion Week Festival including securing catwalk designers, talent for the Talks Programme and driving all associated event collateral for marketing and external creative agency
  • Managing the on-boarding of all London Fashion Week Festival catwalk designers and their experience onsite as well as the content plan to increase exposure to the consumer audience 

Relationships (both internal and external to the business):

  • Maintain and attract relationships with UK & International brands, and initiative curators
  • Maintain strong relationships with PR, Sales agencies and the BFC’s production company
  • Acts as a point of contact for queries/concerns raised both internally and externally and refers questions to team as necessary 
  • From an internal point of view, your strongest relationships will be with the immediate Designer Relations team, Events team, Communications team and Brand Partnerships team

Business & Financial Management:

  • Support on budget monitoring, invoices, etc.
  • Manage very tight deadlines 
  • Support Assistant with contract administration

Requirements & Key Attributes – Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent relationship and communication skills both face-to-face and on the telephone
  • Will have at least two years previous sales experience within fashion, preferably menswear and consumer
  • Will possess excellent brand awareness and taste level
  • Work calmly and methodically to address any logistical issues onsite at all events
  • Knowledge of UK and international retail market, Dept. stores and boutiques
  • Ability to project manage and multi-task autonomously
  • Can prioritise tasks in order of importance to ensure delivery with tight deadlines
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and follow-through on all tasks and admin duties and keep databases updated
  • Create and compose correspondence, with perfect formatting and grammar in a business environment and experience of writing reports to a high standard
  • Positive outlook with an enthusiastic and friendly approach
  • Highly driven and results focused 
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Ability to remain calm, diplomatic and composed
  • Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel essential

Salary & Benefits

  • Job type: full time, permanent
  • Salary Band: £TBC, dependant on experience
  • Standard company benefits, including 25 days annual holiday
  • Standard company working hours, flexibility required during events, exhibitions, etc.
  • Confirmation of appointment and eligibility to benefits, subject to successful completion of a three month probationary period
